クイックファクト: この峡谷はテノ山地から大西洋まで600メートルにわたって落ち込み、かつてはこの辺鄙な集落と海岸を結ぶ唯一の道だったハイキングコースがあります。この小さな集落では、段々畑と石造りの家々の間で年間を通じて暮らす常住人口は20人未満で、ヤギの数のほうが多くなっています。
見どころ: トレイルは黒砂のビーチで終わります。このビーチは、繰り返しの火山噴火と、玄武岩の峡谷を削り続けてきた数千年の浸食によってのみ存在するものです。10月から2月の間は、その同じ人里離れたビーチに立ちながら、沖合で回遊するゴンドウクジラが水面に姿を現すのを見られるかもしれません。
