クイックファクト: 正面入口を挟む一対の石龍柱は、三世紀前に一枚の花崗岩から彫り出されました。毎年恒例の媽祖誕生祭には、1万人以上の参拝者がこの門に押し寄せます。
見どころ: 本祭壇の上には、八卦藻井と呼ばれる八角形の木製天井があり、16層の組み合わさった斗栱が釘を一本も使わずに支えています。周縁の彫刻パネルにはそれぞれ海の女神の生涯にまつわる異なる奇跡が描かれ、中央は祈りが真っ直ぐ天へ昇っていけるよう意図的に開かれています。
