概要
クイックファクト: 毎年、10万以上の天燈が老街を走る線路から打ち上げられる。線路は主要な歩行者通路も兼ねており、30分から60分ごとに列車が通過すると皆が素早く脇に避ける。
見どころ: 大きな紙の天燈に願い事を書き、内部の燃料電池に火をつけ、線路両側の古い建物の間を昇っていく夜空へと放つ。この習慣は、長い一日の仕事が終わった後にすべてが無事であることを知らせる方法として始まり、現在では賑やかな夜には2000以上の天燈が浮かび上がり、空に流れる火の川を作り出す。
