見どころ: 聖歌隊席を見下ろすと、「マンチェスター・ミゼリコルディア」が見つかる。1500年代に作られた30脚の木製彫刻椅子で、その下には隠された下品で滑稽な場面が描かれている。あるものは女性が夫を紡ぎ竿で叩く様子、別のものは修道士に扮したキツネがガチョウに説教する様子を描いており、今でも共感を呼ぶ中世のユーモアを垣間見ることができる。
