概要
クイックファクト: 毎年1500万通以上の手紙や小包がこの壮大な植民地時代の建物を通ります。吹き抜けのネオルネサンス様式のホールには、カウンターの下を見守るホー・チ・ミンの大きな肖像画が掲げられています。
見どころ: 入口近くの薄汚れた木製電話ボックスには、1920年代のダイヤル式電話機が今も設置されており、実際に市内通話に使うことができます。この建物の内部は、開業時にサイゴンで初めて全面電灯照明が導入された場所であり、現在も18メートルの天井から真鍮製のシャンデリアが吊り下がっています。

- 切手を購入する際は少額紙幣をご用意ください。カウンターのスタッフは高額紙幣のお釣りを用意できないことがほとんどです。
- 正面入口付近の床に埋め込まれた、旧インドシナの精巧なモザイク地図を見上げてみてください。
- 壁際に並ぶ木製の書き机は1890年代からのもので、どなたでも自由に使用できます。
- 午前11時30分から午後1時30分までは主要カウンターが昼休みで閉まるため、その時間帯は避けてください。
