Korte feiten: Dit uitgestrekte koninklijke complex, verspreid over 110 hectare in de uitlopers van het Alborzgebergte, bevat 18 afzonderlijke paleizen en musea. Het complex diende als zomerverblijf voor zowel de Kadjaren- als de Pahlavidynastie, waarbij de koele berglucht verlichting bood van de zomerhitte van Teheran.
Hoogtepunten: De kristallen kroonluchter van het Witte Paleis, die meer dan een ton weegt en is vervaardigd uit 3.000 stukken Boheems kristal, hangt nog steeds in de voormalige koninklijke ontvangsthal.
