Beroemde kunstenaars en dichters vonden hier inspiratie, waardoor deze plek een levendige ontmoetingsplek vol cultuur en charme is geworden.
Hoogtepunten: De legende vertelt dat elk jaar in april ongeveer twaalfduizend azalea’s op de trappen worden geplant, waardoor het gebied twee weken lang verandert in een levendig tapijt van roze en wit. Gebouwd in 1723 met precies 135 treden, was de trap een gedurfde architectonische oplossing om twee verschillende niveaus van de stad te verbinden, met een prachtig uitzicht tijdens de klim.
