Korte feiten: Het museum herbergt meer dan 4.000 werken in een uitgestrekt gebouw uit het Sovjettijdperk dat oorspronkelijk was gebouwd als museum van de revolutie. De collectie omvat alles van Litouwse avant-garde tot internationale grootheden als Andy Warhol en Jasper Johns.

Hoogtepunten: Op de bovenste verdieping baadt een groot glas-in-loodraam van de Litouwse kunstenaar Kazys Morkūnas het trappenhuis de hele dag in wisselend amberkleurig licht. De vaste tentoonstelling omvat ook een zelden getoond hologramportret van Jonas Mekas, de legendarische avant-gardefilmmaker, dat tot leven komt als u erlangs loopt.
