Korte feiten: Het centrum wordt volledig gerund door lokale vrouwen en biedt traditionele kooklessen waarbij je specerijen met de hand maalt en kookt boven een houtskoolvuur. Meer dan 20 vrouwen verdienen een eerlijk loon via de naai-coöperatie, waarbij ze manden weven en sieraden maken van gerecyclede materialen.
Hoogtepunten: Tijdens de wandeltour kan je gids je precies de plek aanwijzen waar in de jaren 70 een Bollywoodfilm is opgenomen, en je vervolgens door een doolhof van smalle steegjes leiden naar een 78-jarige vrouw die al 40 jaar samosas maakt volgens hetzelfde familierecept. De tour eindigt met een gedeelde pot gekruide chai onder een jacarandaboom in iemands achtertuin.
