Korte feiten: Over 3,000 animals representing 350 species call this place home, including one of the largest emperor penguin colonies outside Antarctica. The park's rescue team has rehabilitated and released over 40,000 marine animals since 1964.
Hoogtepunten: The 170,000-gallon kelp forest habitat replicates California's underwater coastal ecosystem so faithfully that local leopard sharks and bat rays swim through strands of living giant kelp that grow nearly a foot per day. You can watch scuba divers feed garibaldi and moray eels during daily presentations, with the golden afternoon light filtering through the swaying kelp canopy above.
