Korte feiten: The park hugs about 1.5 miles of sandstone bluffs that plunge into the Pacific, carved by the ocean into sea caves and arches. Nearly 70 stairs let you scramble down to tide pools where you can spot hermit crabs and tiny octopus when the tide pulls back.
Hoogtepunten: At low tide, the beach at the southern end opens up like a secret amphitheater, letting you walk into caves that vanish entirely when the water rises. Sunsets here turn the sandstone a deep amber, and on a clear evening you might catch the famous green flash right as the sun's final sliver disappears below the horizon.

- Wear grippy shoes, the sandstone and dirt trails get slick close to the edge
- Walk about 200 feet south of the main overlook for much quieter views with the same payoff
- Check the tide chart the night before, the best tide pools appear roughly an hour before low tide
- Skip the midday visit, heat and glare flatten the views that look stunning in late light
