Fatos rápidos: O palácio presidencial tem nada menos que 260 salas, mas os visitantes só podem ver uma fracción delas. Os inumeráveis candelabros de cristal e os tetos pintados à mano se datan através de várias remodelações, e o edifício está localizado na rua peatonal mais antiga de Quito.
Destaques: O desfile da guardia diante do edifício não é só uma ceremonia formal: quando as campanadas marcan a hora, os guardias marchan ao ritmo do intenso tráfico andino da manhã e das bocinas dos carros.
