Fatos rápidos: Todos os dias, mais de 10 mil visitantes vêm para sentir a atmosfera do maior mercado de toda a Polinésia Francesa. Os vendedores oferecem atuns recém-pescados pesando até 50 kg, além de vagens de baunilha da ilha de Tahaá e joias de madrepérola do atol de Manihi.
Destaques: Pela manhã quente, você vê pescadores cortando atuns e espadartes de centenas de quilos com facões afiados bem na sua frente, enquanto ao lado o cheiro de café e banana frita se espalha. Aos fins de semana, no pátio, acontecem apresentações de dança com trajes tradicionais, onde as mulheres locais tecem coroas de hibisco diante dos turistas.
