Fatos rápidos: Nesta praça está a maior estátua de Ovídio da Romênia, erguida em 1887. O quarteirão de edifícios do final do século XIX ao redor da praça, graças à nova iluminação e renovação, tornou-se o passeio noturno mais popular da cidade.
Destaques: Os locais dizem que Ovídio olha para o mar, mas na verdade seu rosto está voltado para a civilização. Quando o sol se põe e as luzes se acendem, sombras se formam ao redor do poeta de mármore, fazendo-o parecer que se move e declama poesia.
