Краткие факты: На 156-метровом холме Бунарджик стоит 11,5-метровая статуя солдата с винтовкой, обращенной на восток. Жители Пловдива ласково называют ее Алеша, в честь героя русской песни о советском солдате.
Основные моменты: Каждую весну у подножия статуи собираются тысячи жителей Пловдива на традиционное празднование Дня освобождения, где ветер разносит запах лип и цветов. Ночью мощные прожекторы освещают статую так, что ее тень покрывает половину города.
