Внутренние фрески поражают пестротой и многослойностью, археологи даже обнаружили под верхними росписями следы более ранних настенных изображений.
Основные моменты: Небольшая круглая кирпичная постройка с низким куполом сохранилась со времён IV века, внутри видны наслоения фресок XI-XIV веков в ярких охристых и синих тонах, словно страницы истории, наложенные друг на друга. Если зайти тихо и поднести нос, чувствуешь сладковатый запах ладана, а местные гиды шепчут, что если постоять в центре ровно семь минут, то в последний луч заходящего солнца можно разглядеть позолоченный нимб, едва заметный с 3-4 метров.
