Краткие факты: Prince Wilhelm (later Emperor Wilhelm I) and his politically savvy wife Princess Augusta used this Gothic Revival palace as their summer refuge from Berlin's courtly pressures. The red brick turrets and crenellations were designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, giving the palace the appearance of an English medieval castle suspended above the Havel River.
