4.0Visited at 2pm and it was packed, paths were crowded and photos were tough. Free entry is nice but the souvenir shops felt overpriced, the quiet back paths saved the visit.
Arrived at 8am and had almost no line. The shrine grounds are free and the 500 yen Inner Garden was worth it for the peace and cherry blossoms; avoid noon crowds.
