Краткие факты: Более 1000 квадратных метров фресок XIV века покрывают внутреннюю часть, и росписи считаются одними из лучших образцов сербского средневекового искусства. Здание много раз меняло своё предназначение: церковь, мечеть в течение нескольких веков, и снова церковь с XX века.
Основные моменты: Под фресками XIV века лежат более старые слои росписи от двух предыдущих церквей на том же участке, и археологи вскрывали их слой за слоем. Фигура Христа в куполе имеет тёмные, пронзительные глаза, которые, кажется, следят за тобой, где бы ты ни стоял, окружённая синими и красными цветами, которые до сих пор светятся.
