Crowds hit hard around wineries on weekends, so if you don’t like busy places visit midweek. Overall a peaceful town with lots of charm.
Beautiful views of the Andes but be ready for chilly nights, even in summer. I stayed a week which felt perfect to relax without rushing.
Mendoza's food scene is a treat, lots of fresh produce and great steak spots, though prices were a bit steep for budget travelers. The locals are super friendly.
Avoid the touristy eateries near Plaza Independencia. Walk a few blocks out and you'll find fantastic and affordable empanadas and local dishes.
Loved Mendoza's vibe, amazing wine and food, but the afternoons got scorching, so mornings were best for exploring. Stay at least 4 days.
