Hitre informacije: Postavljen na skalenem hribu 40 metrov nad reko, je ta srednjeveška trdnjava nekoč varovala pristope do Plovdiva. Njeni masivni zidovi in devet ohranjenih stolpov izhajajo iz 13. stoletja, ko je služila kot trdnjava za bolgarske carje.
