Hitre informacije: A hermit named Ivan Rilski sparked the spiritual tradition that grew into the living monastic community you can wander today. Walk into the main courtyard and you'll spot a striped bell tower, an ornate wooden iconostasis and frescoes painted by Zahari Zograf that color the church like a giant storybook.
