Hitre informacije: Visoka silhueta kraljuje nad krožiščem, njene reliefne skulpture pa odsevajo dramatične zgodbe bitk in imena več sto generalov. Z vrha se odpira širok panoramski pogled na dvanajst ulic, ob večerih pa luči avtomobilov ustvarjajo živahen trak svetlobe.
Vrhunci: Pod lokom stoji grob Neznanega vojaka z večnim ognjem, ki ga veterani znova prižgejo vsak večer ob 18:30; ta ceremonija poteka že od leta 1923. Do vrha vodijo 284 stopnic, od tam pa se razprostira pogled na 12 avenij, oblikovanih kot zvezda, poleg tega pa relief 'La Marseillaise' avtorja François Rude prikaže divje, skoraj gibljive figure.
