Hitre informacije: Riessersee leži na 734 metrih nadmorske višine, manj kot 10 minut hoje od olimpijske skakalnice v Garmisch-Partenkirchnu. Ribiči tu mečejo trnke že od 15. stoletja, jezerske kristalno čiste vode pa v celoti napajajo podzemni izviri.

- Park at the Olympia Skistadion parking lot (free) and take the short marked path that starts behind the ski jump's landing area.
- Bring binoculars: the opposite shore is a regular drinking spot for roe deer and occasionally red foxes around sunrise.
- Wear waterproof shoes if visiting after rain, the northern section of the trail can get muddy and stays shaded well into the morning.
