Hitre informacije: Home to over 2,000 plant species spread across 273 acres, this Victorian-style botanical garden dates to 1787. Its famous 200-year-old Great Banyan Tree covers 4.4 acres, making it one of the largest canopies in the world.

After a lightning strike and fungal infection in the 1920s, the original main trunk was removed, yet the tree kept thriving and expanding, essentially becoming its own clone.
