Best time to visit
Late afternoon and golden hour give the best light for panoramas and photos, and temperatures are cooler in summer; spring brings the most flowers and quieter paths.

About
Hitre informacije: Terraced gardens unfurl like a green ribbon, offering wide vistas and shady lanes that locals use for an evening passeggiata. More than 200 plane and chestnut trees punctuate the walkways, and spring flower beds spill purple irises and bright yellow marigolds that scent the air.
Vrhunci: A semicircular terrace holds 12 carved stone benches where photographers time the golden hour and birds punctuate the silence with quick silver wingbeats. Some evenings a quirky local habit appears: visitors tuck tiny hand-painted ceramic tiles into cracks of the low wall, and you can still spot dozens signed with surnames like Rossi and Bianchi among the lichen.
Insider tips
- Wear sturdy shoes, several paths include steps and uneven paving.
- Head to the highest terrace at golden hour for panorama shots of Mondovì and the Alps.
- Bring a small picnic blanket and water, seating is limited on busy weekends.
- Avoid midday on summer weekends when families and tour groups gather, early morning is quietest.

4.0Arrived at 9am and had the gardens almost to myself. Free entry, peaceful paths and the hilltop views over Mondovì made a relaxing 30 minute visit worth it.
Visited at 3pm on a Saturday and it was quite crowded, plus parking cost 2 euros. Gardens are pretty but small, not worth a long detour.
