Hitre informacije: This 19th-century Canarian house contains over 1,000 personal objects belonging to one of Spain's greatest novelists, including his writing desk and inkwells. More than 100,000 visitors walk through its rooms each year, seeing everything from his childhood bedroom to the library housing 800 of his own books.
Poudarki: Tucked inside a drawer in the study, Galdós left handwritten notes scribbled on napkins and receipts, showing how he drafted dialogue in spare moments between meals. One display case holds the very ink-stained cuffs he wore while writing his masterpiece "Fortunata y Jacinta" a cuff that still bears the brown splatters from a 19th-century inkwell.
