Mixed feelings. Loved the Soviet architecture and wide streets, but felt like 2 full days was enough to see everything worth seeing.

The heat in July was brutal. Great city but go in spring or fall unless you enjoy sweating through every meal.

Skip the expensive tourist plov near the main square. Walk to Besh Qozon inside Chorsu Bazaar. Same dish, half the price, better quality.

Most museums close for lunch around 1-3pm. Plan around this or you'll show up to locked doors like I did twice.
