Snabba fakta: Rådhuset har en av de finaste gotiska fasaderna i hela Belgien, smyckad med intrikata statyer av bibliska gestalter och medeltida härskare. Bygget pågick i nästan tre århundraden, så du kommer att få syn på en vild blandning av arkitektoniska stilar, från gotik till renässans till barock.

Höjdpunkter: Titta noga på fasaden under dagen och kom sedan tillbaka på kvällen: statyerna är individuellt belysta och kastar dramatiska skuggor som får steninristningarna att se ut som om de rör sig. Lokalbefolkningen säger att byggnaden har en dold spiraltrappa där stentrappstegen har slitits ner en hel tum av århundradens fotsteg.
