Snabba fakta: Madame Elisabeth, sondotter till Ludvig XV, skötte sin egen köksträdgård och fruktodling på dessa 9 hektar i stället för att leva ett rent aristokratiskt liv. Godset odlar fortfarande över 40 sorter av gamla äpplen och päron, varav en del går tillbaka till 1700-talet.

Höjdpunkter: Varje höst tyngs godsets gamla päronspaljéer ner av sorter som 'Beurré Hardy' och 'Doyenné du Comice', och luften fylls av en honungssöt doft som man kan följa med förbundna ögon. Trädgårdsmästarna använder fortfarande 1700-talets beskärningstekniker som gått i arv genom generationer, vilket gör detta till ett levande museum över fransk trädgårdshistoria.
