Höjdpunkter: Tucked in a quiet corner of the permanent exhibition is the "Golden Fleece" collection, featuring intricate Colchian jewelry from the 5th century BC that inspired the ancient Greek myth of Jason and the Argonauts. The delicate filigree work on a single gold diadem contains over 2,000 individually soldered beads, visible only under magnifying glass.

• The Soviet Occupation exhibition on the third floor is often overlooked but holds chilling personal letters from political prisoners.
• Photography is allowed without flash, but the dim lighting in the treasury room makes a fast lens or phone with night mode worth having.
• Plan at least 45 minutes just for the archaeological hall on the ground floor , the gold collection alone deserves slow attention.
