1. Overcharging airport to centre
Så fungerar det: Drivers may refuse the meter and quote a flat high fare from the airport, or take longer routes. Some add night or luggage surcharges that are not always justified.

2. Pickpocketing on metro and at sights
Så fungerar det: Bags and phones are lifted in crowds, especially at busy platforms, escalators, and packed trains around Syntagma, Monastiraki, and the Acropolis entrance.

3. Friendly stranger distraction
Så fungerar det: Someone approaches you 'accidentally', offers help, or asks for directions while an accomplice lifts your bag or camera. Often paired with a dropped item or spilled drink.

4. Service and cover extras

Från flygplatsen till centrum

Rimligt taxipris (officiellt, dagtid): 40 € - 55 €. Take a taxi from the official rank at the arrivals level. Use the meter or the fixed airport fares posted by the official operator; refuse drivers who offer a set price and no meter. Booking via the Beat or Uber app also gives a fair price.
