Snabba fakta: It was built between 1543 and 1546 during the Ottoman rule, making it the largest mosque in Hungary still standing. Its 22-meter diameter dome holds a Catholic cross, revealing its transformation from mosque to church after the Christian reconquest.

Höjdpunkter: Inside, you can still see the remains of the original mihrab, the niche that pointed toward Mecca, along with 16th-century Arabic inscriptions on the walls. The minarets did not survive, but the crescent moon carved into the base of the bell tower reveals its Ottoman past at a glance.
