Höjdpunkter: The bronze doors weighing 2.5 tons that greet you at the entrance dazzle with their fine craftsmanship and are decorated with 12 panels, each telling a different story. The 2,000-year-old salt man mummy on display was found in Iran's Zanjan region and the traces of tattoos on his body are still visible.

- Don't skip the carpet section upstairs; the 150-year-old Tabriz carpet on display here has over 300 knots in every centimeter.
- The old stone tombs in the museum courtyard make a great backdrop for photography enthusiasts, especially in the afternoon light when they take on a golden yellow hue.
- The gold inlays on the 400-year-old swords displayed in the weapons section still gleam; you need to get a bit closer to see this detail.
