Snabba fakta: Bob's bed is still not made the way he liked it, and under his pillow you can see his favorite Bible and poetry notebook. On the wall of his bedroom, bullet holes from the 1976 assassination attempt remain, which Bob survived just two days before the Smile Jamaica concert.

Höjdpunkter: This wooden and stone building was erected by Jamaica's first black millionaire, George Stiebel Devon. His story of rising from the son of slaves to plantation owner and banker still inspires visitors today.

Enter the house first while it is fresh and cool, and save the ice cream for the end of your visit.
The best photos of the front facade are taken in the early morning hours, before 10 AM, when the light is most beautiful.
Skip the guided vehicle tour of the estate, you get much more by exploring the rooms on your own.
Bring a hat and water, there is not much shade in the garden during the midday hours.
