Höjdpunkter: At the trail's end, a wooden bench sits directly in the spray zone of Siklawica waterfall where cold mist hits your face even on hot July afternoons. Look up through the canyon slit and you'll see cross-shaped Giewont peak perfectly framed by sheer rock walls, a composition that has drawn painters and photographers for over a century.
Insidertips
- Wear sturdy shoes with good grip, the stone steps near the waterfall get slick from constant spray.
- Skip the first 15 minutes of trail by taking the left fork at the Polana Strążyska clearing for quieter forest walking.
- The best photo spot is on the small bridge 50 meters before the waterfall, not directly in front of it.
- Visit on a rainy weekday when crowds drop to under 200 people and the waterfall roars at triple its normal volume.
