Snabba fakta: Det osmanska fortet i Berbera byggdes av osmanerna på 1800-talet för att skydda den strategiska hamnen vid Adenbukten. Fortets murar reser sig 10 meter, och från dess torn har man panoramautsikt över staden och buktens turkosa vatten.
Höjdpunkter: Inne i fästningen finns bevarade osmanska kanoner från 1800-talet som fortfarande är riktade mot havet, som om de väntade på ett anfall. Lokalbefolkningen tror att det finns hemliga underjordiska gångar under fortet som förbinder det med centrala Berbera, men ingen av dem har ännu hittats.
