Snabba fakta: Golvet innanför är belagt med tunga sandstensplattor som fördes ända från Nederländerna som barlast i 1700-talsskepp. Ursprungligen ett portugisiskt kloster omvandlades byggnaden till en holländsk reformerad kyrka 1755 och håller fortfarande söndagsgudstjänster på både singalesiska och tamil.

En gravsten minns den holländska guvernörens hustru som dog till havs, hennes kropp begravd här under bänkarna där familjer nu sjunger psalmer varje söndag.
