Best time to visit

The best time to visit is the morning show at 10:30 AM, when the dolphins are most lively and there are fewer people. In the summer months, it is worth coming early because afternoon shows are often sold out.

Budget tips

A full ticket costs about 50 lei, with discounts for children and students. It is worth buying tickets online in advance, saving both time waiting in line and getting a better price.

About

Quick facts: The dolphinarium is home to over ten spotted dolphins and three species of seals. There are 3 to 4 shows per day, where dolphins perform leaps up to 5 meters into the air.

Highlights: Just before the show begins, one of the dolphins swims to the edge of the pool, looks directly at the audience, and tilts its head as if to say, "Are you ready?" Children sit tense in the front rows because the spray from the highest jumps sometimes reaches the third row.

Insider tips

  • Sit in rows 3 to 5 for the best view without getting wet
  • Bring a small camera; you will best capture the dolphins' jumps with a fast shutter speed
  • After the show, there is an opportunity to take a photo with the dolphins, but be prepared for an extra fee
  • In the winter months, the dolphinarium is less crowded and the shows are more intimate
