حقائق سريعة: أكثر من 150,000 سلبية ومطبوعة من العصر المبكر للتصوير الفوتوغرافي في ألبانيا محفوظة في هذا الأرشيف، بعضها يعود إلى خمسينيات القرن التاسع عشر. يقع المتحف في منزل واستوديو عائلة ماروبي السابقين، الذين وثّقوا الحياة الألبانية لثلاثة أجيال متتالية منذ أكثر من قرن.

النقاط البارزة: يضم القبو تحت الأرض السلبيات الأصلية على ألواح زجاجية، بعضها هشّ للغاية لدرجة أنه يُخزن في صناديق خالية من الأحماض ولا يُتعامل معه إلا بالقفازات البيضاء. مؤسس المتحف بجيتير ماروبي كان في الواقع منفيًا إيطاليًا وصل عام 1856 وتعلّم التصوير أثناء العمل، ثم درّب ابنه لمواصلة هذه الحرفة.
