حقائق سريعة: تقع على رفّ جيري من جرف نياجرا، المحمية الحيوية العالمية التابعة لليونسكو بطول 725 كيلومترًا، وتتيح لك هذه القمة إلقاء نظرة على أراضٍ زراعية تبدو وكأنها تنسكب حتى الأفق. يعرفها هواة التسلق جيدًا، إذ تضم أكثر من 40 مسارًا مثبّتًا تتراوح بين عمليات إحماء ودية وتحديات حقيقية محيّرة.
النقاط البارزة: أثناء تسلّق درب قمة الجرف، تنحني لتتفادى بين الأرز العرعر المشوّه بفعل الرياح الذي تشبّث بالجير المكشوف لقرون، وتمتد الجذور فوق الشقوق التي يمكنك لمسها فعلًا. في الأيام الصافية، تُظهر منصة الإطلالة أراضٍ زراعية مخيطة كمربعات سجاد ناعم أدناه، بينما تلمع البحيرة بعيدًا في الأفق.

- Wear grippy, closed-toe shoes, the cliff-edge trail stays slick with dew well into the morning.
- Arrive before 9 a.m. on weekends to snag a parking spot and keep the main lookout nearly to yourself.
- The railing platform at the west lookout grabs all the attention, but the open rock band behind the parking lot offers quieter, sweeping views.
- Slather on bug repellent from June through August, the forested stretches swarm with mosquitoes and ticks in the heat.
