حقائق سريعة: من قمة البناء، بعد صعود نحو 284 درجة، تُكافَأ بمنظر بانورامي على ارتفاع يقارب خمسين متراً حيث تتشعّب الشوارع كخيوط. زوار المكان غالباً يلتفتون إلى الزخارف المنحوتة والأسماء المحفورة التي تزيد عن 660 اسمًا، بينما تبقى شعلة الجندي المجهول متوهجة كدعوة للصمت والذكرى.
النقاط البارزة: لو صعدت السلالم الـ284 إلى القمة ستفاجئك زاوية رؤية مرتفعة عند نحو 50 متر، حيث تبدو نحتات فرانسوا رود مثل مشاهد سينمائية: وجوه مشدودة وتفاصيل شعر وحركة أحذية الجنود محفورة بواقعية. تحت القوس يوجد قبر الجندي المجهول وشعلة خالدة يعاد إشعالها كل مساء منذ عام 1923 على يد جمعيات قدامى المحاربين، وصوت همسات الزوار وتحريك الأعلام يجعل الجو يشعر كأنه يتنفس التاريخ.
