حقائق سريعة: يجتمع آلاف الحجاج هنا كل عام معتقدين أن مياه البركة يمكنها غسل الذنوب، وهو تقليد مرتبط بقطرة واحدة من الرحيق المقدس يُقال إنها سقطت هنا. تبلغ مساحة البركة حوالي فدانين وهي محاطة بأكثر من مئة مصلى ومعبد صغير تصطف على ضفافها الرملية.
النقاط البارزة: تقول الأسطورة المحلية إن قطرة واحدة من رحيق الخلود سقطت هنا أثناء تخضير المحيط الكوني، مما أعطى هذه البركة اسمها وقدرتها المزعومة على التطهير. شاهد الكهنة وهم يؤدون طقوس الأرتي عند الغروب عندما تنعكس مصابيح الزيت الوامضة على الماء الداكن، محاطين بالتراتيل التي يرددها صدى جدران المعبد القديمة.
