حقائق سريعة: يمتد السد مسافة 1700 متر عبر نهر فايغاي ويزود أكثر من 1.5 مليون شخص في منطقة مادوراي بمياه الشرب. تتحول بحيرته التي تبلغ مساحتها حوالي 10 كيلومترات مربعة إلى مكان شهير للنزهات في عطلات نهاية الأسبوع حيث تجتمع العائلات المحلية تحت ظل أشجار التمر الهندي.
