حقائق سريعة: يقع هذا المنارة على جرف صخري يطل على بحر العرب، وقد أرشد السفن عبر المياه الغادرة قبالة ساحل كيرالا منذ أوائل القرن العشرين. أشرطتها الحمراء والبيضاء المميزة تجعلها معروفة فوراً للبحارة الذين يقتربون من ميناء كانور من على بعد أميال.
النقاط البارزة: على عكس معظم المنارات التي يمكنك رؤيتها فقط من الأسفل، تتيح لك هذه المنارة الصعود إلى القمة للحصول على بانوراما بزاوية 360 درجة حيث يلتقي بحر لكشادويب بشواطئ مكللة بأشجار جوز الهند. في الأيام الصافية، يمكنك رؤية الخط البعيد لأسطول صيد خليج مابيلا وهو يتجه للصيد الصباحي، وهياكلها الخشبية تتمايل في الأفق.

- Wear closed-toe shoes for climbing the narrow spiral staircase, as the metal steps can get slippery.
- Visit on a weekday morning to have the lighthouse almost entirely to yourself.
- Position yourself on the east-facing side of the top deck for the best photos of the red-and-white tower against the blue sky.
- Skip the small souvenir shop at the entrance and instead walk 5 minutes to the local market for better prices.
