حقائق سريعة: ارتفاع البرج 36 متراً ويقف على تلة تطل على ميناء قرية الصيد وبحر العرب المفتوح معاً، ويمتد 144 درجة صعوداً إلى الفانوس. أُضيئت المنارة عام 1972، لكن الصخور أسفلها كانت تستقبل السفن منذ نحو ألفي عام.
النقاط البارزة: يمتد المنظر من القمة من الرمال المقوّسة لشاطئ كوفالام في الشرق إلى قوارب الصيد الملوّنة في الميناء القديم غرباً، بانوراما تتغير باستمرار مع حركة الضوء. يضيء المصباح 26 ميلاً بحرياً في البحر، وعندما يحل المساء يسهل تخيّل النيران التي أوقدها الحراس يوماً على الصخرة نفسها قبل آلاف السنين.

- Wear comfortable shoes and preferably long trousers, the spiral staircase is narrow and steep.
- Photograph from the lawn below with the tower against the sea, and take the top for evening light over the coastline.
- Avoid the middle of the day when the heat and haze make visibility poor from the viewing platform.
- Combine the visit with a walk out onto the fishing harbor pier to see the day's catch coming in.
