حقائق سريعة: ضوء الشمس يتدفق عبر نوافذ الزجاج الملون، ناثراً فسيفساء جوهرية عبر صحن الكنيسة ويجعل الحجر البارد يتوهج. الكثير من الزوار يفاجأون بأن المبنى الذي تم إلغاء تكريسه يستضيف الآن معارض فنية وحفلات موسيقية، حيث تزدهر زخارف الفن الحديث والأقواس الشاهقة لتشكل خلفية ثقافية درامية.
النقاط البارزة: بُنيت الكنيسة في ثلاثينيات القرن العشرين، تمزج بين الأقبية القوطية الجديدة وهندسة الأرت ديكو الهندسية الواضحة، حيث تنحني أضلاع خرسانية عريضة في صحن أبيض شاسع يبدو وكأنه منحوتة حديثة أكثر من كونه دار عبادة تقليدي. في فترات ما بعد الظهر المشمسة، ألواح الزجاج الملون الضيقة تطلق شرائط رفيعة من اللون الأزرق والعنبر على درجات الحجر المغبرة، وبعض السكان المحليين يتسلقون البرج بهدوء بعد ساعات العمل لمشاهدة غروب الشمس والاستماع إلى أنفاس الميناء.
