حقائق سريعة: Three distinct 4th-century Roman villas overlap on this site near Faro, one built directly on top of another. The preserved ocean-themed fish mosaic stretches over 40 square meters and still shows traces of its original vivid colors.

The highlight is the temple-shaped water sanctuary where you can still see the channels that once carried water for ritual bathing.

• Bring a small flashlight to see details in the darker corners of the bath complex where shadows hide mosaic work.
• Walk around to the back of the site for an elevated view that shows the full villa layout from above.
• Visit right at opening time on weekdays to have the entire site nearly to yourself.
• The small on-site exhibit has English explanations that fill in context the ruin signs skip.
