Early morning hours (08:00-10:00) are ideal; when the lake surface is calm, the sound of the waterfall is heard more clearly and sunlight creates rainbows in the water droplets. The rainy season (September-November) is when the water flow is at its strongest.

حقائق سريعة: هذا الشلال المتدفق من الصخور الحمراء هو المصدر الطبيعي الكبير الوحيد الذي يصب في بحيرة كيفو، ولا يفقد تدفقه حتى في موسم الجفاف. يعتقد السكان المحليون أن مياهه علاجية؛ وكل عام في شهر أغسطس يُقام مهرجان مياه تقليدي حول الشلال.
النقاط البارزة: خلف الشلال يوجد مدخل كهف صغير يمكنك المرور من خلاله خلف المياه المتدفقة بعنف؛ والهواء في الداخل بارد دائماً وصوت الماء يتردد صداه. وفقاً لروايات الأطفال المحليين، يُعتقد أن امرأة عجوز تعيش في أعماق الكهف وتعلم الشلال أغنية جديدة كل موسم أمطار.
نصائح من الداخل
- Wear shoes with waterproof soles against slippery rocks; the ground near the waterfall is always wet.
- You can climb onto the large rock in front of the waterfall and step barefoot into the water, but the rocks are very slippery.
- For the best photo spot, try the wooden platform on the left side of the waterfall; the light looks wonderful from here at sunset.
- On minibuses coming from Kibuye, just say "Ndaba" to the driver before getting off, and they will drop you at the village entrance.
