حقائق سريعة: تتراص أكثر من 20 فيلا على طراز الليبرتي على طول الواجهة البحرية، بُنيت بين 1909 وعشرينيات القرن الماضي من نخبة باليرمو كمصايف صيفية. مزج معماريون مثل إرنستو بازيلي بين الزخارف الزهرية ولمسات الحديد المطاوع والواجهات الباستيلية التي تتوهج بشكل مختلف في كل ساعة من ساعات النهار.

- Start at Piazza Valdesi and follow the seafront promenade southward to catch every villa in sequence.
- Bring a camera with a good zoom lens to capture the wrought-iron and ceramic details that are hard to see from street level.
- Skip midday in summer when the sun washes out the colors and the beach is packed. Early morning or late afternoon are far better.
- Pair your walk with an aperitivo at one of the wooden kiosks on Mondello beach for a view of the villas across the water.
